Pricing that follows active hiring.

Run your first 3 Jobs free. Then pay for active hiring, not employee count or collaborator seats.

The ATS built for humans and agents should not bill like a seat chart.

Yardstick prices around the actual unit of hiring work: the open role. That keeps pricing tied to roles you are actively moving forward, not employee count, recruiter seats, candidate volume, or every person invited into the process.

Your whole panel interviews without paid seats: each interviewer opens their prep kit from a magic link, with no extra seats to buy.

  • No employee-count tax.
  • No seat tax for interviewers or hiring managers.
  • Calendar coordination included.
  • Archived hiring history stays free.
  • Start monthly. Yardstick adjusts as your hiring changes.

A role is open while it is still moving hiring forward.

An open role is one where you are accepting candidates, managing candidates, scheduling interviews, or making hiring decisions.

Open roles are billed

Open roles, published roles, roles accepting candidates, roles with active pipeline stages, upcoming interviews, pending evaluations, scheduling activity, open offers, or active workflow/calendar/agent activity.

Historical Jobs are free

Closed, archived, or paused Jobs do not count when they have no live candidate, interview, application, offer, calendar, workflow, or agent activity. Read-only hiring history is always free.

Pricing FAQ

What counts as an open role?

An open role is a Job where you are accepting candidates, managing candidates, scheduling interviews, or making hiring decisions. A role is not open when it is closed, archived, or paused with no live candidate, interview, application, offer, calendar, workflow, or agent activity.

What happens after the first 3 free Jobs?

Existing Jobs remain accessible and closed or archived history remains readable. Creating another Job or reopening an archived Job requires upgrading to a paid plan.

Do interviewers and collaborators need paid seats?

No. Interviewers never need a paid seat or an ATS license. Each interviewer gets their prep kit through a magic link: the schedule, the candidate's context and resume, the questions to ask, and the scorecard anchors to rate against. Your whole panel interviews with no extra seats to buy, and Yardstick does not charge per interviewer, hiring-manager collaborator, recruiter, or admin.

Are closed or archived Jobs billed?

No. If the Job is only historical, it is free. If the Job is still being used to move hiring forward through candidates, interviews, offers, scheduling, workflow, calendar, or agent activity, it counts as an open role.

How does monthly billing work?

You are billed monthly for your workspace and open roles at the start of each month. Roles opened during the month appear as prorated usage on your next invoice. Roles you close stop billing next month.

Is calendar coordination included?

Yes. Calendar coordination is included on Free, Core, Scale, and Enterprise because scheduling is part of the core hiring workflow.

Do you offer annual plans?

We don't, and that's intentional. Yardstick is monthly by design, so you keep maximum flexibility. When a Job is no longer active, billing for it stops the next month and your price drops automatically — you never prepay for hiring you are not doing.

When do teams need Enterprise?

Enterprise is for teams with security, procurement, scale, services, or workflow requirements beyond self-serve. Basic ATS usage, interview planning, scorecards, calendar coordination, and collaboration do not require Enterprise.
